Reports indicate a significant decrease in deaths caused by Seasonal Influenza A in India this year. Compared to last year, the number of deaths has dropped sharply. Effective interventions by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health have contributed to this improvement.
Health experts stated that India recorded 347 deaths due to Seasonal Influenza A in 2024. However, this year, the number has reduced to just 14 deaths. Experts also noted that proper clinical management and timely vaccination played a major role in achieving this reduction.
They added that correct vaccination procedures and doctors’ guidance help patients effectively fight such seasonal influenza.
