Following the Tamil Nadu government’s action to suspend the license of the drug manufacturing company Shreshan Pharmaceuticals due to substandard quality, Kerala has banned the sale and use of all medicines produced by this company. Health Minister Veena George stated that the distribution of these drugs has been stopped in Kerala.
In addition, following a notification from the Gujarat Drugs Controller regarding the lack of quality in Respifresh T.R. 60ml syrup, batch number R01GL2523, manufactured by Rednex Pharmaceuticals in Gujarat, this medicine has also been banned in the state, the minister added. Strict action will be taken against those selling the drug, and it should not be used by anyone in possession. These medicines are not distributed through government hospitals. The minister also warned that strict action will be taken against institutions providing the medicine to children under 12 years of age without a doctor’s prescription.
ഗുണനിലവാരം ഇല്ലെന്ന് കണ്ടെത്തിയതിനെ തുടർന്ന് ശ്രീശൻ ഫാർമസ്യൂട്ടിക്കൽസ് എന്ന മരുന്ന് നിർമ്മാണ കമ്പനിയുടെ ലൈസൻസ് മരവിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ള തമിഴ്നാട് സർക്കാരിന്റെ നടപടിക്ക് പിന്നാലെ, ഈ കമ്പനി ഉൽപ്പാദിപ്പിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാ മരുന്നുകളുടെയും വിൽപ്പനയും ഉപയോഗവും തടഞ്ഞ് കേരളം. കേരളത്തിൽ മരുന്നുകളുടെ വിതരണം നിർത്തിവച്ചതായി ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി വീണാ ജോർജ്ജ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ഇതിന് പുറമെ, ഗുജറാത്തിലെ റെഡ്നെക്സ് ഫാർമസ്യൂട്ടിക്കൽസ് എന്ന കമ്പനി നിർമിക്കുന്ന റെസ്പിഫ്രെഷ് ടി.ആർ, 60എം.എൽ സിറപ്പ്, ബാറ്റ്ച് നമ്പർ R01GL2523 എന്ന മരുന്നിന് ഗുണനിലവാരം ഇല്ലെന്ന ഗുജറാത്ത് ഡ്രഗ്സ് കൺട്രോളറിന്റെ അറിയിപ്പിന് പിന്നാലെ ഈ മരുന്നിനും സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് നിരോധനം ഏർപ്പെടുത്തിയതായി ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി അറിയിച്ചു. ഈ മരുന്ന് വിൽപ്പന നടത്തുന്നവർക്ക് എതിരെ കർശന നടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കും. മരുന്ന് കൈവശമുള്ളവർ ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ പാടില്ല. ഈ മരുന്നുകൾ സർക്കാർ ആശുപത്രിവഴി വിതരണം ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലെന്നും 12 വയസ്സിന് താഴെയുള്ള കുട്ടികൾക്ക് വേണ്ടി ഡോക്ടറുടെ കുറിപ്പടിയില്ലാതെ മരുന്ന് നൽകുന്ന സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾക്ക് എതിരെ കർശന നടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കുമെന്നും മന്ത്രി അറിയിച്ചു.
