Patient’s husband assaults woman doctor

A female doctor was assaulted. The incident took place at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital while the PG doctor was on duty. The assault was carried out by the husband of a patient following a dispute over changing the cannula for administering an injection. The hospital staff intervened and restrained the accused, after which the security personnel handed him over to the police. The accused was presented before the court and has been remanded for 14 days. The case was registered under the Hospital Protection Act.

വനിത ഡോക്ടർക്ക് മർദനമേറ്റു. തിരുവനന്തപുരം മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ഡ്യൂട്ടിക്കിടെ പിജി ഡോക്ടർക്ക് ക്കാണ് രോഗിയുടെ ഭർത്താവിന്റെ മർദനമേറ്റത്. ഇഞ്ചക്ഷൻ വെക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള കാനുല മാറ്റുന്നത് സംബന്ധിച്ചുണ്ടായ തർക്കമാണ് മർദനത്തിൽ കലാശിച്ചത്. ജീവനക്കാർ ഇടപെട്ട് പിടിച്ചുമാറ്റുകയും സുരക്ഷാജീവനക്കാർ പ്രതിയെ പിടികൂടി പോലീസിൽ ഏൽപ്പിക്കുകയുമായിരുന്നു. കോടതിയിൽ ഹാജരാക്കിയ പ്രതിയെ 14 ദിവസത്തേക്ക് റിമാൻഡ് ചെയ്തു. ആശുപത്രി സംരക്ഷണ നിയമപ്രകാരമാണ് കേസ്.
