10 വർഷത്തിനിടെ തെരുവുനായയുടെ കടിയേറ്റ് മരിച്ചത് 12 കുട്ടികൾ

In the state, 12 children have died due to stray dog bites over the past 10 years. All of them were below the age of ten. During the same period, nine people aged between 10 and 20 also lost their lives.

Across the state, a total of 118 people have died from rabies in the last ten years. Of these, 28 people died after being bitten by pet dogs infected with rabies. The data includes deaths reported up to November 20, 2025, as per the reply given by the Health Department under the Right to Information Act.

The highest number of deaths due to stray dog bites in Kerala was reported in Kollam district, with 21 deaths, while the lowest was in Kasaragod, with one death.

Deaths reported in other districts are as follows: Thiruvananthapuram – 16, Palakkad – 13, Alappuzha – 12, Thrissur – 11, Ernakulam – 9, Kozhikode – 9, Pathanamthitta – 7, Kannur – 7, Malappuram – 4, Idukki – 3, Wayanad – 3, and Kottayam – 2.

സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് തെരുവുനായയുടെ കടിയേറ്റ് കഴിഞ്ഞ 10 വർഷത്തിനിടെ മരിച്ചത് 12 കുട്ടികൾ. പത്തുവയസ്സിൽ താഴെയുള്ളവരാണിവർ. 10-നും 20-നും ഇടയിൽ പ്രായമുള്ള ഒൻപതുപേരും ഈ കാലയളവിൽ മരിച്ചു. പേവിഷബാധയേറ്റ് പത്ത് വർഷത്തിനിടെ സംസ്ഥാനത്താകെ മരിച്ചത് 118 പേരാണ്. ഇതിൽ 28 പേർ പേവിഷബാധയേറ്റ വളർത്തുനായയുടെ കടിയേറ്റാണ് മരിച്ചത്. 2025 നവംബർ 20 വരെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ വിവരങ്ങളാണ് ആരോഗ്യവകുപ്പ് വിവരാവകാശപ്രകാരം നൽകിയ മറുപടിയിലുള്ളത്. തെരുവുനായയുടെ കടിയേറ്റ് കേരളത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ പേർ മരിച്ചത് കൊല്ലത്താണ്-21 പേർ. കുറവ് കാസർകോടും-ഒരാൾ. മറ്റു ജില്ലകളിൽ മരിച്ചവർ, തിരുവനന്തപുരം-16, പാലക്കാട്- 13, ആലപ്പുഴ-12, തൃശ്ശൂർ-11, എറണാകുളം-9, കോഴിക്കോട്- 9, പത്തനംതിട്ട-7, കണ്ണൂർ-7, മലപ്പുറം-4, ഇടുക്കി-3, വയനാട്-3, കോട്ടയം-2. എന്നിങ്ങനെയാണ്.
