As the cold intensifies, reports indicate that fever is spreading across Kozhikode district. Along with this, cases of chickenpox are also rising. An increase has been recorded in dengue fever and jaundice as well. Most people are suffering from common cold-related fever. Hundreds of people visit government and private hospitals daily with fever and chest congestion. For many, the congestion becomes severe enough to require hospitalization.
The Health Department believes that the unusually cold weather this time is the main reason for the rise in common cold-related fever. According to the Health Department’s website, from January 1 to 8 this year, 5,115 people sought treatment in government hospitals for fever, and 111 people for chickenpox. Those seeking treatment at private hospitals and clinics are not included in these figures.
Chickenpox cases are also increasing among children and young adults. Diseases such as chickenpox, dengue, and jaundice, which were once seasonal, are now occurring throughout the year, posing a growing challenge.
തണുപ്പ് കൂടിയതോടെ കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയിൽ പനി വ്യാപിക്കുന്നതായി റിപ്പോർട്ട്. ഒപ്പം ചിക്കൻ പോക്സ് കേസുകളും . ഡെങ്കിപ്പനി, മഞ്ഞപ്പിത്തം എന്നിവയിലും വർദ്ധനവ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു. ജലദോഷപ്പനിയാണ് കൂടുതൽ പേർക്കും. നൂറുകണക്കിന് പേരാണ് ദിനംപ്രതി പനിയും കഫക്കെട്ടുമായി സർക്കാർ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രികളിൽ എത്തുന്നത്. കഫക്കെട്ട് കൂടി ആശുപത്രിയിൽ കിടത്തിച്ചികിത്സ തേടേണ്ട അവസ്ഥയാണ് പലർക്കും. ഇത്തവണ തണുപ്പ് കൂടുതലായതാണ് ജലദോഷപ്പനി വർധിക്കാനിടയാക്കിയതെന്നാണ് ആരോഗ്യവകുപ്പിന്റെ നിഗമനം. ഈ വർഷം ജനുവരി ഒന്ന് മുതൽ എട്ടുവരെ 5,115 പേർ പനിയും 111 പേർ ചിക്കൻ പോക്സും ബാധിച്ച് സർക്കാർ ആശുപത്രികളിൽ ചികിത്സ തേടിയതായി ആരോഗ്യ വകുപ്പിൻറെ വെബ്സൈറ്റിൽ വ്യക്തമാവുന്നു. സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രികളിലും ക്ലിനിക്കുകളിലും ചികിത്സ തേടുന്നവർ ഈ കണക്കിൽപ്പെടില്ല. കുട്ടികൾക്കും യുവാക്കൾക്കും ഇടയിൽ ചിക്കൻ പോക്സും വർധിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. മുമ്പ് സീസണലായിരുന്നു ചിക്കൻ പേക്സ്, ഡങ്കിപ്പനി, മഞ്ഞപ്പിത്തം അടക്കമുള്ള അസുഖങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ എല്ലാ സീസണിലും ഉണ്ടെന്നതും വെല്ലുവിളിയാവുന്നുണ്ട്.
