Spoiled meat and eggs distributed on some trains. Expired food was seized from a catering centre supplying food to trains. The inspection was conducted at an establishment in Kadavanthra, Ernakulam, which was operating without a Corporation license. Rotten meat, spoiled eggs, and unhygienic food items were seized. There had been previous complaints against the establishment.
The Corporation’s health department conducted the inspection following complaints from nearby residents about a foul smell. Expired meat and other items were seized from the location. Authorities stated that the establishment will be shut down and sealed.
Locals claimed that food packets meant for trains, including Vande Bharat, were found here. However, no explanation has yet been received from railway authorities regarding this matter.
ചില ട്രെയിനുകളില്‍ വിതരണം ചെയ്യുന്നത് അഴുകിയ ഇറച്ചിയും, ചീമുട്ടയും. ട്രെയിനുകളില്‍ ഭക്ഷണം വിതരണം ചെയ്യുന്ന കാറ്ററിങ് സെന്ററില്‍നിന്ന് പഴകിയ ഭക്ഷണം പിടികൂടി. കോര്‍പ്പറേഷന്റെ ലൈസന്‍സില്ലാതെ എറണാകുളം കടവന്ത്രയില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ച സ്ഥാപനത്തിലാണ് പരിശോധന നടത്തിയത്. അഴുകിയ ഇറച്ചിയും ചീ മുട്ടയും അടക്കം ചീഞ്ഞളിഞ്ഞതും വൃത്തിഹീനവുമായ ഭക്ഷ്യ വസ്തുക്കള്‍ പിടികൂടി. സ്ഥാപനത്തിനെതിരെ നേരത്തെയും പരാതികൾ ഉയര്‍ന്നിരുന്നു. രൂക്ഷ ഗന്ധം ഉയര്‍ന്നതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് സമീപവാസികളുടെ പരാതിയിൽ കോര്‍പ്പറേഷന്‍ ആരോഗ്യവിഭാഗം നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയിലാണ് പഴകിയ ഭക്ഷണം പിടികൂടിയത്. കാലാവധി കഴിഞ്ഞ മാംസം അടക്കമുള്ളവയാണ് ഇവിടെ നിന്നും പിടികൂടിയത്. സ്ഥാപനം അടച്ചുപൂട്ടി സീല്‍ ചെയ്യാനാണ് തീരുമാനം എന്ന് അധികൃതർ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. വന്ദേഭാരത് അടക്കമുള്ള ട്രെയിനുകളില്‍ ഭക്ഷണം വിതരണം ചെയ്യുന്ന പായ്ക്കറ്റുകള്‍ ഇവിട കണ്ടതായും നാട്ടുകാർ പറഞ്ഞു. അതേസമയം റെയില്‍വേ അധികൃതരില്‍നിന്ന് ഇതുസംബന്ധിച്ച് വിശദീകരണം ഇതുവരെ ലഭ്യമായിട്ടില്ല.
