Report reveals a sharp increase in the number of HIV cases in the state. Thiruvananthapuram and Palakkad districts lead with over 5,000 active cases each. In one year, 123 new positive cases were reported in Thiruvananthapuram and 45 in Palakkad. Thrissur ranks third with 2,647 active cases. A total of 1,213 people were infected within a year, with most of the new cases among the youth, raising serious concern. Considering the rate of spread, the government has decided to intensify preventive measures.
സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ എച്ച്ഐവി ബാധിതരുടെ എണ്ണത്തിൽ വലിയ വർധനവെന്ന് റിപ്പോർട്ട്. തിരുവനന്തപുരം, പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലകളാണ് രോഗികളുടെ എണ്ണത്തിൽ മുന്നിൽ. ഇരു ജില്ലകളിലും അയ്യായിരത്തിൽ അധികം ആക്ടീവ് കേസുകൾ വീതം ഉണ്ടെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോർട്ട്. ഒരു വർഷത്തിനിടെ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് 123 പുതിയ പോസിറ്റീവ് കേസുകൾ റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ പാലക്കാട് 45 പുതിയ കേസുകൾ റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തു. 2647 ആക്ടീവ് കേസുകളുള്ള തൃശ്ശൂർ ജില്ലയാണ് മൂന്നാം സ്ഥാനത്ത്. 1213 പേർക്ക് ഒരു വർഷത്തിനിടെ രോഗം ബാധിച്ചതായും പുതിയ രോഗബാധിതരിൽ കൂടുതലും ചെറുപ്പക്കാരാണ് എന്നത് ആശങ്ക ജനിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. രോഗ വ്യാപനതോത് കണക്കിലെടുത്ത് പ്രതിരോധ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ ഊർജ്ജിതമാക്കാനാണ് സർക്കാർ തീരുമാനം.
