Due to the strengthening of the low-pressure system, the India Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rainfall in the state. A yellow alert has been declared today in 9 districts — Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod. A yellow alert has also been declared for Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts for tomorrow and the day after.
ന്യൂനമർദ്ദം ശക്തി പ്രാപിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ശക്തമായ മഴയ്ക്ക് സാധ്യതയെന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര കാലാവസ്ഥ വകുപ്പിന്റെ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ്. ഇടുക്കി എറണാകുളം, തൃശൂർ, പാലക്കാട്, മലപ്പുറം, കോഴിക്കോട്, വയനാട്, കണ്ണൂർ, കാസർകോട് എന്നീ 9 ജില്ലകളിൽ ഇന്ന് യെല്ലോ അലർട്ട് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. തൃശൂർ, മലപ്പുറം, കോഴിക്കോട്, വയനാട്, കണ്ണൂർ, കാസർകോട് ജില്ലകളിൽ നാളെയും മറ്റന്നാളും യെല്ലോ അലർട്ട് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
