From September 1 onwards, government hospitals in Kerala known for their excellence in service will have a special OP counter exclusively for senior citizens. Health Minister Veena George announced that this new service will be available in taluk, taluk headquarters, district, general hospitals, specialty hospitals, and medical colleges. Earlier, on April 1, government hospitals had introduced online OP registration, which was a major step forward. Additionally, appointment booking through QR code scanning was also launched. However, considering that senior citizens often struggle with digital services, the government decided to implement this dedicated OP counter, the Minister added.
പ്രവര്ത്തന മികവുകൊണ്ട് വേറിട്ടുനില്ക്കുന്ന സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ സര്ക്കാര് ആശുപത്രികളില് ഇനി മുതല് മുതിര്ന്ന പൗരന്മാര്ക്ക് പ്രത്യേക ഒ.പി കൗണ്ടര്. സെപ്റ്റംബര് ഒന്ന് മുതല് പുതിയ സേവനം ലഭ്യമാകുമെന്ന് ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി വീണാ ജോര്ജ്ജ് അറിയിച്ചു. താലൂക്ക്, താലൂക്ക് ഹെഡ്ക്വാര്ട്ടേഴ്സ്, ജില്ല, ജനറല് ആശുപത്രികളിലും സ്പെഷ്യാലിറ്റി ആശുപത്രികളിലും മെഡിക്കല് കോളേജുകളിലും സേവനം ലഭ്യമാകും. ഏപ്രില് ഒന്ന് മുതല് സര്ക്കാര് ആശുപത്രികളില് ഓണ്ലൈന് ഒ.പി രജിസ്ട്രേഷന് ആരംഭിച്ചതും വലിയ വാര്ത്തയായിരുന്നു. ഇതിന് പുറമെ, ക്യു.ആര് കോഡ് സ്കാന് ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടുള്ള അപ്പോയിന്മെന്റ് സേവനവും ആരംഭിച്ചിരുന്നു. എന്നാല് ഡിജിറ്റല് സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യ ഉപയോഗിച്ചുള്ള സേവനങ്ങളില് മുതിര്ന്ന പൗരന്മാര് പിന്നോട്ടുപോകുന്നു എന്ന സാഹചര്യം പരിഗണിച്ചാണ് പ്രത്യേക കൗണ്ടര് എന്ന ആശയം നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്നതെന്നും മന്ത്രി വീണാ ജോര്ജ്ജ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
