The Health Department has taken strict action against doctors who are absent from duty without authorization. Action has been initiated against 444 doctors whose probation has not been declared and 157 doctors whose probation has been declared. Among them, 84 doctors have been dismissed from government service in the past year. This is in addition to the dismissal of 51 doctors under the Department of Medical Education. The Health Minister stated that the strict action was taken because prolonged absence from duty affects the functioning of the department and retaining such employees in service deprives dedicated candidates of opportunities.
അനധികൃതമായി ഡ്യൂട്ടിയിൽനിന്ന് വിട്ടുനിൽക്കുന്ന ഡോക്ടർമാർക്ക് എതിരെ കടുത്ത നടപടികളുമായി ആരോഗ്യവകുപ്പ്. വകുപ്പിലെ പ്രൊബേഷൻ ഡിക്ലയർ ചെയ്യാത്ത 444 ഡോക്ടർമാർക്ക് എതിരെയും പ്രൊബേഷൻ ഡിക്ലയർ ചെയ്ത 157 ഡോക്ടർമാർക്ക് എതിരെയുമാണ് നടപടി. ഇതിൽ 84 ഡോക്ടർമാരെ കഴിഞ്ഞ ഒരു വർഷത്തിനിടെ സർക്കാർ ജോലിയിൽ നിന്നും പിരിച്ചുവിട്ടു. മെഡിക്കൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വകുപ്പിന് കീഴിൽ നിന്നും 51 ഡോക്ടർമാരെ പിരിച്ചുവിട്ടതിന് പുറമേയാണിത്. ഡോക്ടർമാർ ദീർഘനാളായി ജോലിയിൽനിന്ന് വിട്ടുനിൽക്കുന്നത് വകുപ്പിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തനത്തെ ബാധിക്കുകയും ഇത്തരം ജീവനക്കാർ സർവ്വീസിൽ തുടരുന്നത് സേവനതൽപരരായ ഉദ്യോഗാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് അവസരം നഷ്ടമാകാൻ ഇടയാക്കുന്നതിനാലുമാണ് കർശന നടപടി സ്വീകരിച്ചതെന്ന് ആരോഗ്യ മന്ത്രി പ്രതികരിച്ചു.
