In Palakkad’s Changaleeri, the son of a man who died due to Nipah infection has now tested positive for the virus. The son was with his father when he sought treatment for the illness. Though he was already on the contact list, the son later began to show symptoms. Subsequent tests conducted at Manjeri Medical College confirmed the infection. He is currently under treatment at the hospital. The deceased, a 58-year-old resident of Mannarkkad, had died from Nipah recently. Following this, both of his sons and a healthcare worker who was in contact with them were admitted to the hospital after showing symptoms. Although their mother has no symptoms, she is under observation.
പാലക്കാട് ചങ്ങലീരിയിൽ നിപ ബാധിച്ച് മരിച്ചയാളുടെ മകന് രോഗം സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചു. രോഗം ബാധിച്ച് പിതാവ് ചികിത്സ തേടിയപ്പോൾ കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത് മകനായിരുന്നു. സമ്പർക്കപ്പട്ടികയിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മകൻ പിന്നീട് രോഗ ലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ കാണിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി. തുടർന്ന് മഞ്ചേരി മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിൽ നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയിൽ ഫലം പോസിറ്റീവാകുകയായിരുന്നു. ഇയാൾ നിലവിൽ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ചികിത്സയിൽ തുടരുകയാണ്. 58കാരനായ മണ്ണാർകാട് സ്വദേശി കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം നിപ ബാധിച്ച് മരിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇതിനു പിന്നാലെ മരിച്ച വ്യക്തിയുടെ രണ്ട് മക്കളെയും ഇവരുമായി സമ്പർക്കത്തിൽ എത്തിയ ആരോഗ്യപ്രവർത്തകയെയും രോഗലക്ഷണങ്ങളെ തുടർന്ന് ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. രോഗലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ ഇല്ലെങ്കിലും ഇവരുടെ അമ്മയും നിരീക്ഷണത്തിലാണ്.
