Health Minister Veena George announced that permission has been granted for five new Cath Labs in the state. Until now, there were no government cardiology treatment centers or Cath Labs in four medical colleges and the Adimali hospital in Idukki district.
With the establishment of Cath Labs at Adimali and Idukki Medical College, the state has now achieved its goal of having Cath Labs in all 14 districts. The minister shared this update on her Facebook page.
Kasargod and Wayanad, which previously lacked such facilities, were the most recent districts to get Cath Labs.
An amount of ₹10.3 crore has been sanctioned for Idukki Medical College and ₹8.94 crore for Adimali. Other centers where Cath Labs have been sanctioned include Kozhikode, Ernakulam, and Alappuzha Medical Colleges.
The minister also stated that administrative approval of ₹44.30 crore has recently been granted for Cath Labs and CCUs in three medical colleges.
സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് 5 പുതിയ കാത്ത് ലാബുകൾ കൂടി അനുവദിച്ചതായി ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി വീണ ജോർജ്. 4 മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജുകളിലും അടിമാലി ആശുപത്രിയിലും, ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലയിലുമാണ് ഇതുവരെ സർക്കാർ മേഖലയിൽ കാർഡിയോളജി ചികിത്സയും കാത്ത് ലാബും ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നത്. അടിമാലിയിലും ഇടുക്കി മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിലും കാത്ത് ലാബ് സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നതോടെ സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് 14 ജില്ലകളിലും കാത്ത് ലാബുകൾ എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യം സാക്ഷാത്ക്കരിച്ചതായി ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി വീണ ജോർജ് തന്റെ ഫേസ്ബുക്‌പേജിലൂടെ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. കാത്ത് ലാബുകൾ ഇല്ലാതിരുന്ന കാസർഗോഡും ,വയനാടും ആണ് ഏറ്റവും അവസാനം കാത്ത് ലാബുകൾ സ്ഥാപിച്ചത്. ഇടുക്കി മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിന് 10.3 കോടിയും അടിമാലിക്ക് 8.94 കോടി രൂപയുമാണ് അനുവദിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. കോഴിക്കോട്, എറണാകുളം, ആലപ്പുഴ മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജുകളിലാണ് കാത്ത് ലാബുകൾ അനുവദിക്കപ്പെട്ട മറ്റ് കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ. കാത്ത് ലാബുകൾക്കും സിസിയുകൾക്കുമായി മൂന്ന് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജുകൾക്ക് 44.30 രൂപയുടെ ഭരണാനുമതിയാണ് അടുത്തിടെ നൽകിയതെന്നും മന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
