Media reports say that around fifteen students were admitted to the hospital in Kanhangad, Kasaragod, after consuming shawarma and experiencing vomiting. The children had eaten shawarma from a hotel near the mosque after attending Nabidina celebrations. Later in the evening, they developed health issues and were hospitalized. It is alleged that the shawarma caused food poisoning and that the food was stale. Preliminary reports indicate that none of the children are in critical condition.
