Stray Dog Attack

In Kottayam, rabies infection has been confirmed in the stray dog that bit former Kottayam municipal chairman P.J. Varghese and six others. The infection was confirmed at the veterinary hospital in Thiruvalla after tests. The dog’s attack took place on Wednesday afternoon near the KSRTC bus stand. Following the incident, the municipality’s ABC team captured the dog and shifted it to their center. Showing symptoms of rabies, the dog later died. Subsequent tests confirmed the rabies infection.
