To expedite organ transplants and tissue preservation surgeries in Kerala, taxi and ambulance services will be launched statewide. The government has approved the related recommendation. These services are expected to facilitate the transportation of organs and samples, and accelerate the processing of transplant surgery applications. However, the government has proposed that the cost of taxi-ambulance services be borne by the organ donors. Free service will be available for those in the BPL (Below Poverty Line) category. Reports state that since the donors are liable, the implementing agency, K-SOTTO, will be exempt from this responsibility.
കേരളത്തിൽ അവയവമാറ്റ, ടിഷ്യു മാറ്റിവയ്ക്കൽ ശസ്ത്രക്രീയകൾ വേഗത്തിലാക്കാൻ സംസ്ഥാന വ്യാപകമായി ടാക്‌സി, ആംബുലൻസ് സേവനങ്ങൾ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു. ഇത് സംബന്ധിച്ച ശിപാർശയ്ക്ക് സർക്കാർ അംഗീകാരം നൽകി. അവയവങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നതിനും സാമ്പിളുകൾ എത്തിക്കുന്നതിനും അവയവമാറ്റ ശസ്ത്രക്രീയകൾക്കുള്ള അപേക്ഷകൾ വേഗത്തിലാക്കുന്നതിനും ടാക്‌സി-ആംബുലൻസ് സേവനം ഗുണം ചെയ്യുമെന്നാണ് വിലയിരുത്തിൽ. എന്നാൽ, ടാക്‌സി-ആംബുലൻസ് സേവനങ്ങളുടെ ബാധ്യത അവയവദാതാക്കളിൽ നിന്ന് ഈടാക്കാനാണ് സർക്കാർ നിർദ്ദേശം. ബി.പി.എൽ വിഭാഗത്തിന് സൗജന്യ സേവനവും ലഭ്യമാക്കും. അവയവ ദാതാക്കൾ ബാധ്യത വഹിക്കണമെന്നതിനാൽ, പദ്ധതി നടത്തിപ്പുകാരായ കെ-സോട്ടോയ്ക്ക് ബാധ്യത ഒഴിവാകുമെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോർട്ട്.
