Kerala aims to become a state that ensures health protection for all by 2031, said Health Minister Veena George. Specialty treatments will be decentralized, and infrastructure development will be further improved. Trauma care and emergency systems will be strengthened. The minister added that equality in health services will also be ensured.
Speaking at the Vision 2031 – Health Seminar, where she presented the policy document “Kerala’s Health Sector Vision 2031”, Minister Veena George stated that the Karunya Health Protection Scheme was formulated and implemented by integrating various schemes. Through this project, 42.2 lakh families are receiving health coverage. The Karunya Benevolent Fund scheme is also in place. Under the Karunya Health Protection Scheme, each family receives ₹5 lakh for treatment.
The minister added that the government aims to expand the scheme to ensure health coverage for more people. To reduce lifestyle diseases, the Healthy Life Campaign is being implemented. Under the AYUSH Department, 10,000 Yoga Clubs have been established. The School Health Program will also be implemented. Systems will be strengthened to ensure mental health.
To detect and treat lifestyle diseases early, the Aardram People’s Campaign has been launched. Screening for lifestyle diseases is being conducted at home for those above 30 years of age, ensuring necessary treatment for those in need. For cancer prevention, the “Aarogyam Aanandam Aakkam Arbutham” public campaign was introduced, through which over 20 lakh people have been screened so far. Advanced cancer treatment facilities have also been implemented, the minister added.
2031ൽ എല്ലാവർക്കും ആരോഗ്യ പരിരക്ഷ ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്ന സംസ്ഥാനമാക്കി കേരളത്തെ മാറ്റുകയാണ് ലക്ഷ്യമെന്ന് ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി വീണാ ജോർജ്. സ്പെഷ്യാലിറ്റി ചികിത്സകൾ വികേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കും. അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യ വികസനം കൂടുതൽ മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തും. ട്രോമാ കെയർ, എമർജൻസി സംവിധാനം കൂടുതൽ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തും. ആരോഗ്യ സേവനങ്ങളിൽ തുല്യത ഉറപ്പാക്കുമെന്നും മന്ത്രി കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു. വിഷൻ 2031- ആരോഗ്യ സെമിനാറിൽ ‘കേരളത്തിന്റെ ആരോഗ്യ മേഖല വിഷൻ 2031’ നയരേഖ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച് സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു മന്ത്രി വീണാ ജോർജ്. വിവിധ സ്‌കീമുകളെ ഏകോപിപ്പിച്ചാണ് സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് കാരുണ്യ ആരോഗ്യ സുരക്ഷാ പദ്ധതി ആവിഷ്‌ക്കരിച്ച് നടപ്പിലാക്കിയതെന്നും മന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ഈ പദ്ധതി വഴി 42.2 ലക്ഷം കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്ക് പരിരക്ഷ നൽകുന്നു. കാരുണ്യ ബെനവലന്റ് ഫണ്ട് പദ്ധതിയും നിലവിലുണ്ട്. കാരുണ്യ ആരോഗ്യ സുരക്ഷാ പദ്ധതി വഴി 5 ലക്ഷം രൂപയാണ് ഒരു കുടുംബത്തിന് ചികിത്സ നൽകുന്നത്. കൂടുതൽ പേർക്ക് ആരോഗ്യ പരിരക്ഷ ഉറപ്പാക്കാൻ പദ്ധതി ആവിഷ്‌ക്കരിക്കാനും ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് മന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ജീവിതശൈലീ രോഗങ്ങൾ കുറയ്ക്കുന്നതിനായി ഹെൽത്തി ലൈഫ് ക്യാമ്പയിൻ നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ആയുഷ് വകുപ്പിന് കീഴിൽ 10,000 യോഗ ക്ലബ്ബുകൾ ആവിഷ്‌ക്കരിച്ചു. സ്‌കൂൾ ഹെൽത്ത് പദ്ധതി നടപ്പിലാക്കും. മാനസികാരോഗ്യം ഉറപ്പാക്കാനായി സംവിധാനങ്ങൾ മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തും. ജീവിതശൈലീ രോഗങ്ങൾ നേരത്തെ കണ്ടെത്തി ചികിത്സിക്കുന്നതിനായി ആർദ്രം ജനകീയ ക്യാമ്പയിൻ ആവിഷ്‌ക്കരിച്ചു. 30 വയസിന് മുകളിലുള്ളവർക്ക് വീട്ടിലെത്തി ജീവിതശൈലീ രോഗ സ്‌ക്രീനിംഗ് നടത്തി ആവശ്യമായവർക്ക് ചികിത്സ ഉറപ്പാക്കി. കാൻസർ പ്രതിരോധത്തിനായി ആരോഗ്യം ആനന്ദം അകറ്റാം അർബുദം ജനകീയ ക്യാമ്പയിൻ ആവിഷ്‌ക്കരിച്ചു. ഇതുവരെ 20 ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം പേരെ സ്‌ക്രീനിംഗ് നടത്തി. അത്യാധുനിക കാൻസർ ചികിത്സാ സംവിധാനങ്ങൾ നടപ്പിലാക്കിയതായും മന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
