Central Government Plans to Regulate AC Temperature Settings The central government is preparing to implement regulations on air conditioner temperature settings. As per the new law, once it comes into effect, ACs can only be used at a minimum temperature of 20°C, regardless of how hot the room is. The maximum limit will be capped at 28°C. According to Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, the goal is to save electricity. This decision comes in the wake of a significant rise in electricity usage across the country in recent times. Once the law is implemented, this regulation will be mandatory for newly manufactured air conditioners. However, more clarity is awaited on how the new rule will impact sectors like healthcare.
എ.സിയുടെ താപനിലയില്‍ നിയന്ത്രണം ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്താനൊരുങ്ങി കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാര്‍. പുതിയ നിയമം പ്രാബല്യത്തില്‍ വരുന്നതോടെ മുറിയില്‍ എത്ര ചൂട് ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും 20 ഡിഗ്രി തണുപ്പില്‍ മാത്രമേ എ.സി ഉപയോഗിക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കൂ. ഉയര്‍ന്ന താപനില 28 ഡിഗ്രിയായും നിയന്ത്രിക്കും. ഇതുവഴി വൈദ്യുതി ലാഭിക്കുകയാണ് ലക്ഷ്യമെന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര ഊര്‍ജ്ജമന്ത്രി മനോഹര്‍ ലാല്‍ ഖത്തര്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. സമീപകാലത്ത് വൈദ്യുതി ഉപയോഗത്തില്‍ രാജ്യത്ത് വലിയ വര്‍ധനവ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയ സാഹചര്യത്തിലാണ് പുതിയ നടപടി. നിയമം പ്രാബല്യത്തില്‍ എത്തുന്നതോടെ പുതുതായി നിര്‍മിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന എ.സികളില്‍ ഈ നിയന്ത്രണം ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്താനാണ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്. പുതിയ നിയമം ആരോഗ്യ മേഖലകളിലടക്കം എങ്ങനെ ബാധിക്കുമെന്നതില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ വിവരങ്ങള്‍ ഇനിയും പുറത്തുവരേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.
