What does it affect?
Leprosy mainly affects:
Skin Peripheral nerves Eyes Lining of the nose
Common symptoms
Light or dark patches on the skin with loss of sensation Numbness or weakness in hands and feet Thickened nerves Non-healing wounds, especially on hands or feet Eye problems in advanced cases
How does it spread?
It spreads very slowly through prolonged, close contact with an untreated person Spread happens via respiratory droplets (nose and mouth), not by touch, sharing food, or casual contact Most people have natural immunity and do not get
