Russia’s cancer prevention vaccine brings hope to the medical field. The first human trial of the Russian-developed Entomix vaccine was successful. Researchers say the vaccine proved to be 100% effective and safe. Cancer tumors in patients who used the vaccine were found to have shrunk. No significant side effects were reported among the patients. The vaccine was jointly developed by Russia’s National Medical Research Radiological Center and the Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology.
വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്ര രംഗത്ത് പ്രതീക്ഷ നൽകി റഷ്യയുടെ ക്യാൻസർ പ്രതിരോധ വാക്‌സിൻ. റഷ്യ വികസിപ്പിച്ച എന്റോമിക്‌സ് വാക്‌സീന്റെ മനുഷ്യരിലെ ആദ്യ പരീക്ഷണം വജയകരമായി. വാക്‌സിന്റെ കാര്യക്ഷമതയും സുരക്ഷയും 100 ശതമാനം ഉറപ്പാക്കാനായെന്ന് ഗവേഷകർ പറയുന്നു. വാക്‌സിൻ ഉപയോഗിച്ച രോഗികളുടെ ക്യാൻസർ മുഴകൾ ചുരുങ്ങിയതായി കണ്ടെത്തി. മരുന്ന് പരീക്ഷിച്ച രോഗികളിൽ പറയത്തക്ക പാർശ്വഫലങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായതുമില്ല. റഷ്യയുടെ നാഷണൽ മെഡിക്കൽ റിസേർച്ച് റേഡിയോളജിക്കൽ സെന്ററും ഏംഗൽഹാർട്ട് ഇൻസ്റ്റിസ്റ്റിയൂട്ട് ഓഫ് മോളിക്കുലർ ബയോളജിയും ചേർന്നാണ് വാക്‌സീൻ വികസിപ്പിച്ചത്. കീമോ തെറാപ്പിയേക്കാൾ സുരക്ഷിതമാണ് പുതിയ വാക്‌സിൻ എന്നാണ് റിപ്പോർട്ട്. വാക്‌സിൻ പരീക്ഷണത്തിൽ 48 രോഗികളാണ് പങ്കെടുത്തത്. ഓരോ രോഗിയുടെയും ആരോഗ്യം, രോഗ തീവൃത തുടങ്ങിയവ കണക്കിലെടുത്ത് ഓരോരുത്തർക്കും അനുയോജ്യമായ തീവ്രതയിലുള്ള വാക്‌സിനാണ് നൽകിയത്.
